It's just 3 days left for the consecration of Ramlala and right now the country has all eyes on Ayodhya. Pictures, Ram Bhajans and stories from the Ramayana are doing the rounds of the internet and amidst all this, netizens got a glimpse of the Ramlala idol. It was installed on Thursday inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The idol was brought inside the temple's sanctum sanctorum on Wednesday night after a special puja and was placed amid the chanting of prayers. Pictures of the first look of Ramlala are doing the rounds on the internet and netizens are overjoyed on seeing the magnificent idol. Interestingly, the picture has been clicked from behind the idol so that the face is not visible.
Netizens took to the comments section and left their views. One of them said, "I am blessed I took birth in this time period to witness this", while many chanted slogans of 'Jai Shree Ram'.
In addition to this, there is another pcicture that has come to the forefront. In this picture, we can see the face of Ramlala but his eyes are covered with a yellow cloth. This cloth will be removed on January 22, during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
The Idol:
The Ramlala idol is 51 inches tall and has been sculpted by Mysore's Arun Yogiraj. The idol, made out of black stone, depicts Lord Ram as a 5-year-old child standing on top of a lotus.
The Consecration:
The consecration rituals has begun from January 16. As per a PTI report, a 'Kalash Pujan' was held earlier on Wednesday. The rituals will continue till January 21 and minimum essential rituals needed for the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of Ram Lalla will be conducted on January 22, as per the trust officials. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the main 'yajman' at the consecration ceremony, Laxmikant Dixit, the main priest for the ritual, told PTI on Wednesday.
