Chief Minister of Punjab and Bhagwant Mann and his wife welcomed a baby girl on Thursday. Mann announced that both the mother and the baby were doing fine. In an X post, Mann said, “God has given the gift of a daughter..Both the mother and the child are healthy” in Punjabi.
In a separate post, he posted a picture of his newborn daughter.
Bhaghwant Mann has two children with his ex-wife, who is now settled in Canada with the two children. They separated in 2015.
According to the Indian Express, Gurpreet Kaur delivered the baby at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali.

Bhagwant Mann Wedding
Mann and Gurpreet Kaur tied the knot two years ago. His wedding was held at his residence in Chandigarh and was attended by select guests like the AAP national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and MP Raghav Chadha. The Punjab Chief Minister's family members, including his mother and sister, were also a part of the wedding, which was solemnised according to Sikh rituals.
Mann's Political Career
Comedian-turned-politician Bhagwant Mann became an MP from Sangrur for the first time when he won the 2014 Lok Sabha election on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. His first wife Inderjit Kaur had also campaigned for him then.
Before the Punjab Assembly elections, the AAP declared him as its CM face for Punjab. He won the polls with a thumping majority. Bhagwant Mann is the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab.
