New Delhi: The police in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam have claimed to bust a terror module involved in the killing of Panch in the first week of March and arrested three persons identified as Aadil Manoor Rather, Naseer Wani, Majid Majeed. Arms & ammunition were also recovered, as said by Police.


In March, an independent Panch Mohammad Yaqoob Dar of a local panchayat in the Kulpora Srandroo area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district was shot dead by terrorists outside his house in the evening.


On getting information about the incident, the security forces reached the spot and surrounded the area. Condemning the incident, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, NC Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah termed it a heinous crime. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Manzoor Bhai condemned the incident and said that at present he was not a member of the BJP.

An official said that at around 8.45 pm on Wednesday, the terrorists came from close range and opened fire on Dar. He was taken to the hospital for treatment in critical condition but he died on the way. Dr. Muzaffar Zargar, Medical Superintendent of Kulgam District Hospital said that Panch had died on the way.
