Preparations for the construction of Noida Film City, to be built in Gautam Budh Nagar district on the lines of Hollywood, have now gained momentum. This film city will be ready in one thousand acres in Yamuna City at a cost of 6 thousand crores. About 15 thousand people will get employment in this film city. The government has approved the Detail Project Report (DPR) of the film city to be built on PPP model in Sector-21 of Yamuna Expressway Development Authority (YEDA). Now the company making the DPR will prepare the bid document in three weeks, after which the global tender will be issued. If everything goes according to plan, the construction work of Film City will start in the first month of next year. Film studio, open area, amusement park, villa etc. will be prepared in the first phase of this film city to be developed in three phases.
World class modern technologies are to be incorporated in this first film city of UP. Officials say that a large part of this film city will be connected with digital technology. Due to the increasing trend of digital mediums in films, it will be called Infotainment City. In this, all necessary facilities will be provided for special studios for shooting serials and films, animation, web series, cartoon films, documentaries, digital media etc.
Film production studios, outdoor locations, special effects studios, hotels, club houses, villages, workshops, tourist and entertainment, shopping complexes, food courts, amusement parks, convention centers and parking will also be built in the film city. A reputed advisory agency was selected by the government to prepare the DPR for the construction of Film City.
It has been mentioned in this DPR that on which financial model the film city should be built. What will be the formula for arranging funds for this? The final details of the expenditure on the construction of the first phase, second phase and third phase of the film city and the detailed details of the construction time limit are also in the DPR.
The operation, maintenance of Noida Film City and the account of income and employment from Film City has also been mentioned in the DPR. How to develop it as a tourist destination? It is also mentioned in the DPR. Domestic and foreign companies will also be able to participate in the process of global tender. Within two months, the company to produce Film City will be selected. The company to produce Noida Film City, which will be developed in three phases, will be selected by December 31. There will be a 40-year agreement with the company producing Film City. The company will be given a license instead of a lease.
Authority officials say that in the first phase, 80 percent of the part related to the shooting of the film will be prepared. After that hospitality, resort and other business activities will be developed. Retail development will be in the third phase.
It will be equipped with Hi-tech and technology. There will be 3D studios here. There will be the sets rotating at 360 degrees. There will also be sound recording, editing and animation studios. A film university will also be built here where students will be able to get education of modern techniques of film making. There will also be research on subjects related to films. The technique of making advertisement films will also be told. Special studios will be set up to promote film tourism. A Common Facility Center will also be there, where all the facilities related to the film will be available. People associated with the film will be able to get all the facilities needed under one roof.
Hotel (5 star and 3 star) will be built for the actors and staff coming to shoot in the film city, apart from this a luxury resort and amusement park will also be built, so that people can come here to spend the day.
Additional Chief Secretary Navneet Sehgal says that International Film City is the dream project of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Film city is being made world class. In this, many facilities are being taken care of. Many thousand youth will also get employment under this.
