New Delhi: In the matter of the threat letter to actor Salman Khan and father Salim Khan, three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang delivered the letter, claimed police officials on Thursday as reported by news agency PTI. Officials said that an alleged member of the gang, Mahakal alias Siddhesh Kamble (20), was arrested by the Pune Police and it was revealed during his interrogation. Saurabh Mahakal, arrested from Pune, has disclosed this during interrogation and told that Vikram Barad, an aide of Lawrence Bishnoi, had delivered a threatening letter to Salman Khan's father. It is known that more than two dozen cases are registered against Barad and he is a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan.
The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police interrogated Mahakal in Pune on Thursday. Apart from this, the Special Cell of Delhi Police also interrogated him in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Mahakal allegedly told investigators that one of the three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who came from Rajasthan's Jalore district, had given a threatening letter to Salim Khan, who was sitting on the bench after his morning walk at Bandra Bandstand. In the letter, Salim and Salman Khan were threatened that their consequences would be like Moosewala.

Earlier, Mumbai Police's Crime Branch unit on Wednesday arrived in the national capital to question gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the threat letter to screenplay writer Salim Khan and his son and Bollywood actor Salman Khan, police said.
The Mumbai Police had recorded the statements of the father-son duo and also enhanced the security around the actor's residence in suburban Bandra. The police also took the statements of two bodyguards of Salim Khan.
According to a police source, the letter said, "Salim Khan, Salman Khan Bahot Jald Aapka Mooselwala Hoga G.B L.B... (Salim Khan, Salman Khan, very soon you will meet Moosewala's fate.)" It is speculated that G. B. and L. B. may refer to gangsters Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, though police has not made any statement on this aspect.
