Ahmedabad: Kunjal Patel, the businessman-turned-politician who contested from Ahmedabad's Dariapur constituency in the 2017 Gujarat Assembly Elections, have stagulated himself to death. KP Patel is known as the 'Golden Man' of Ahmedabad. His pictures of wearing a kilogram of gold has gone viral in the city.

After his death, a case was registered against his suicide at the Dariapur police station. In his nomination, he stated that he had 45 tolas of gold. However, he told local reporters: "We have a total of 115 tolas of gold in our house.” He had two cars and assets worth Rs 49 lakh, he asserted while signing his candidature.
