New Delhi: A civilian identified as Karan Kumar Singh was injured after terrorists hurled a grenade in the Gopalpora Chadoora area of Budgam on Monday, informed Kashmir zone police on Twitter. The ultras carried out two grenade attacks within an hour -- one at a minority habitation in Chadoora in Budgam district and another at Police Control Room in Srinagar, police said.
“Terrorists hurled grenade at Police Control Room Kashmir, resulting in minor injuries to one police personnel. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” police tweeted.
In the first incident, the attackers had hurled the grenade targeting the minority community, said sources in the security agencies in which one person has been injured.
In another incident, grenades were thrown near a Police Control Room in Srinagar. One policeman was injured in the incident, said police.
Earlier on August 9, terrorists hurled a grenade at the security forces. Two people including a CRPF jawan were injured in the attack.
At the same time, on August 8, terrorists attacked a joint party of police and CRPF in Bijbehara area of district Anantnag in Kashmir division. A policeman was injured in this attack. A day earlier night, a non-Kashmiri laborer was targeted by terrorists in Bandipora.
