After the arrest of three persons over "pro-Pakistan" slogans raised inside Vidhana Soudha on February 27, the 39th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court granted 3 days of police custody to the arrested persons on Tuesday. The arrest of the suspects was reportedly made using a Forensic Science Laboratory report, evidence and witness accounts.
According to ANI, DCP Bengaluru Central Division said, "39 ACMM Court grants 3 days of police custody to the three people arrested in connection with the alleged pro-Pakistan slogan at Vidhana Soudha. Three people have been arrested based on the FSL report, available witnesses and evidence."
On being asked why is the FSL report of alleged Pro Pakistan slogans raised in Vidhan Soudha not being released, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said, "We did not want to. We waited one or two days because other reports had to come... Based on the FSL report, we have arrested three people."

The arrested were identified as Mohammad Nashipudi from Byadgi, Munawwar Ahmed from Jayamahal and Mohammad Iltaz from Kishangarh.
Following the arrest, BJP leader CT Ravi said, "Shame on those CONgress leaders and their pet fact checkers who tried to cover up this anti-national act. This incident proves that Communal CONgress will go to any extent to fulfill its Appeasement Politics. Will CONgress Gaddars apologise to Bharatiyas for their betrayal of Bharat?"
In Karnataka Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress party won three seats while BJP won one in the biennial election.
