SRK Invites Ram Charan On Stage

Shah Rukh Khan invited Ram to come on stage and groove with them. In jest, Shah Rukh blurted out a few phrases that seemed to be in Telugu or Tamil. Pinkvilla posted a video of the same thing on Instagram. Zeba Hassan, who works as Ram's makeup artist, said in a video clip, "I'm a huge SRK fan, but I really disliked the way he called Ram Charan on stage."

According to Free Press Journal, Zeba expressed disappointment towards the actor. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she wrote, "'Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu (Saying names of snacks, Ram Charan where are you)???' I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like @alwaysramcharan."

Netizens Reaction On Shah Rukh Calling Ram Charan 'Idli'

Shah Rukh calling Ram 'idli' infuriated the internet as well. Someone wrote, "Shahrukh Khan is being insensitive by referring to Ram Charan as 'idli', which could be perceived as a racial stereotype against South Indians." Another other response stated, "Shah Rukh Khan being casually racist to Ram Charan who is South Indian by calling him idli." A post said, "Shahrukh Khan is being racist to South Indians by calling 'Ram Charan idli' after a South Indian director gave him the biggest hit of his career."

SRK Fans Support Him

However, fans of the superstar soom came to his defence, clarifying that the actor was actually mouthing a dialogue from his film 'One 2 Ka 4.' Sharing a clip from the movie, a fan commented, "SRK used a dialogue to his own movie to invite Ram Charan in Stage."
