As per the early information reported by news agency ANI, two civilians have been injured in the grenade attack in Baramulla. Both have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir police registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress. The area has been cordoned and a search operation is underway in the area.
This is the second terrorist attack within this week in the Baramulla. On Wednesday, suspected terrorists lobbed a grenade in Singpora Bazaar area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, leaving three civilians injured in the attack. As per the details, the terrorists hurled a grenade at security forces, but it missed the target and exploded on the road, injuring civilians.
Meanwhile, in another major incident, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Balakote sector of Poonch at about 1800 hours today. Indian Army is retaliating. More details awaited.
