Israel-Palestine Conflict HIGHLIGHTS: The violence between Israel and Palestine intensified on Saturday, as an Israeli airstrike hit a prominent tower block in Gaza City that houses media outlets including that of The Associated Press and Al Jazeer among others. Earlier today, an Israeli air raid in Gaza City killed at least seven Palestinians in the deadliest single strike since the battle with Gaza's militant Hamas rulers erupted earlier this week. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has called for foreign ministers of the world's largest body of Muslim nations to hold a meeting today in order to discuss Israeli acts of violence against Palestinians.

Anti-Israel protests breakout in Kashmir amid Covid pandemic

Amid the intensified Israel-Palestine conflit, anti-Israel protests have broken out in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir after Israel launched warplanes in the Gaza strip, killing several. According to several media reports, people in the valley came down to streets with many  burning the flag of Israel. 

Saudi Arabia to host virtual meet of foreign ministers Muslim nations

Saudi Arabia has called for foreign ministers of the world's largest body of Muslim nations to hold a meeting on Sunday to discuss Israeli acts of violence against Palestinians and the Israeli police's use of force against protesters at Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. the virtual summit is expecteed to host ministers from as many as 57 nations. 


 

Won't allow elements to disturb peace and law here due to Palestine crisis :J&K Police

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said it is keeping a close watch on elements attempting trigger violence and lawlessness in the valley over Palestine situation. The polie said it would not allow cynical encashment of the public anger, and warned that irresponsible social media comments dirtubing peace and order in the valley, will attract legal action.

Lufthansa suspends all flights to Tel Aviv until May 17

As Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalates, the German carrier Lufthansa has announced to extend its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv until May 17. Earlier, the carrier had announced to suspend all flights to Tel Aviv till May 14. 

Airstrike at Bureji refugee camp

A Palestinian man was killed in an airstrike that hit Bureji refugee camp, located in the middle of the Gaza Strip. The attack brought the total death toll in the besieged territory since Monday to 140.

Israel 'warned' of air strike on media building

An hour before the air strike on Gaza tower, Israel gave a “warning” that it will bomb the building that houses the Al Jazeera offices and other international media outlets in Gaza City, 


"Israel has given a “warning” that it will bomb the building that houses Al Jazeera offices and other international media channels in Gaza City in one hour," claimed Al Jazeera. 

Airstrike In Gaza Destroys High-Rise Building Housing International Media Offices

The violence between Israel and Palestine intensified on Saturday, as an Israeli airstrike hit a prominent tower block in Gaza City that houses media outlets including that of The Associated Press and Al Jazeer among others. The building also contained a number of apartments and other offices.


According to reports, the owner of the building had been warned in advance of an impending Israeli missile strike, following which, the building had been evacuated.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has called for foreign ministers of the world's largest body of Muslim nations to hold a meeting today in order to discuss Israeli acts of violence against Palestinians.  


According to Al Jazeera, at least 140 Palestinians, including 39 children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the violence broke out earlier this week on Monday. Some 950 others have been wounded. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed at least 13 Palestinians.
