Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday wished team India ahead of their big game against Australia in the final World Cup match that is all set to be played at Ahmedabad's Motera stadium. Modi will also be visiting the stadium to watch the match along with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles. 


"All the best Team India! 140 crore Indians are cheering for you. May you shine bright, play well and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship," he said in a post on X. 






Congress leader Sonia Gandhi also sent her best wishes to team India ahead of the match saying the sport has always united the country beyond gender, region, language, religion and class.


"Dear Team India, I would like to first begin by congratulating you for your incredible performance and excellent teamwork during this World Cup. You have consistently brought glory to the country and given us all reasons to be collectively joyous and proud," she said in a video message on Saturday. 


"And now as you get ready for the finals this year, the entire country is rooting for you. I send you my best wishes. You have what it takes to be world champions. Good luck team India. Jai Hind," said the Congress parliamentary party chairperson.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal cheered for the Rohit Sharma team. 


"Best wishes to Team India for the World Cup final Show your strength, play your best, maintain your winning streak and make history. The entire nation stands with you," he said in a post on X.










 Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also wished the "men in blue" a  "glowing win". 


"Unparalleled skills, unequalled vigour, unmatched spirit.. this is what defines you #TeamIndia. Best wishes to #MenInBlue for a glowing win in #CWCFinal. May you be Victorious," Patel posted on X.
