New Delhi: After a diktat issued by Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Shahjahanpur district coordinator Rajesh Kumar Awasthi announcing a reward of Rs 50 lakh for the tongue of the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan, Amit Jani convener of Rashtrawadi Morcha has decided to call a 'Dharma Sansad' in the Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Rampur is considered to be the stronghold of SP veteran Azam Khan.

"Dharma Sansad is being called in order to decide to how to deal with people like Azam Khan, Kanhaiya Kumar," said Jani in an exclusive conversation with ABP Live's Anurag Kumar.

"We will hold the Sansad on August 27 and have invited saints, leaders of Hindu Yuva Vahini, Bajrang Dal and others. We have also invited Uddhav Thackeray," youth leader added.

"Dharma Sansad is being called in Rampur to challenge Azam Khan in his own constituency and we will affix 1 lakh posters and 400-500 hoarding advertising about the event in the district", Jani further said.

Azam Khan considers Rampur his fort, we will challenge him on his turf, Jani said.

What Azam Khan said about Indian Army?

Azam Khan had kicked up a storm again last month, this time with remarks about the Indian Army that were condemned by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which urged the SP to "sack" him.

Addressing party activists in Rampur , Khan referred to "shameful violent happenings" in places such as Kashmir, Tripura, Jharkhand and Bengal.

He had said, excesses by security forces had led to "women in some places chopping off the private parts of Army men".

About Amit Jani:

Interestingly, Amit Jani came to headlines in April this year after hoardings (showing him) asking Kashmiris to leave Uttar Pradesh or face consequences were reportedly spotted in Meerut district of the state.

Amit Jani, had shared a picture of the poster on his Facebook account and a case was registered against him.
