'Why You Got That Doubt?' TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu Responds To Question Over Alliance With NDA

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's comment came in the wake of his attendance at the NDA meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence earlier in the day.

New Delhi: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday responded to queries regarding pledging support to the NDA with a resolute "Why you got that doubt...?" Naidu's statement came in the wake of his attendance at the NDA meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence earlier in the day.

On being asked whether he is a part of the NDA, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said, "How can we contest elections if we are not a part of NDA? We fought this collectively. Why you got the doubt, I don't know."

His presence at the meeting, which he said was "good", sparked speculation about the TDP's stance towards the NDA, prompting questions from reporters.

However, Naidu's response seemed to suggest a steadfast commitment to the alliance, although no formal announcement was made following the meeting.

Naidu-Led TDP Has 16 MPs

Chandrababu Naidu, who secured impressive victories in the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, reiterated his support for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Wednesday.

Naidu's comment came amid speculation regarding the possibility of the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc, which is only 40 seats away from a majority following a stronger-than-expected showing, making a late bid for an alliance.

Naidu's reaffirmation of support for the NDA signals a continued alliance and underscores the political landscape's evolving dynamics as parties position themselves for the formation of the next union government.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), achieved a sweeping victory in the Assembly elections, securing 135 out of 175 seats, paving the way for Naidu to return as chief minister for a fourth term.

Notably, the TDP also made significant strides in the Lok Sabha elections, winning 16 out of 28 seats, further solidifying its stronghold in Andhra Pradesh and bolstering its influence in the national political arena.
