New Delhi: Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Friday hit out at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) over its decision to transfer IAS Rinku Dugga to Arunachal Pradesh following the uproar over alleged misuse of facilities at Thyagraj Stadium in Delhi. Hours after a news report regarding the misuse of facilities by IAS Sanjeev Khirwar and his wife Rinku Dugga, the ministry transferred Sanjeev Khirwar and Rinku Dugga, both IAS officers of the AGMUT cadre.
While Khirwar has been transferred from Delhi to Ladakh, Dugga to Arunachal Pradesh.

Mahua Moitra took to Twitter and wrote: "Why shame Arunachal by transferring errant Delhi bureaucrat there? Why pay lip service to North East & then treat area like a dump for your rubbish, MHA?"
The TMC leader further asked Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu to protest against the MHA's move.
The row over the IAS couple's alleged misuse of facilities at Thyagraj Stadium erupted as a coach claimed that the sportspersons are asked to vacate the ground at 7 PM so that the two officers can walk there with their dogs. The coach said that this is causing problems in his training and practice routine.
Speaking to news agency ANI, a coach from Thyagraj Stadium said, "Yes, it's true. An IAS officer walks his dog on the athletics track and because of him, we are asked to vacate the stadium by 6:45 pm. We had been given clear instructions that the stadium should be emptied by that time. It is not possible for us to continue with our training at 4 pm in this weather condition. We have asked the authorities to look into the matter."
Sanjeev Khirwar has denied the allegations against him while admitting that he sometimes takes the dog for a walk, but denied that it hindered the athletes' practice.
