A 108-foot incense stick that was brought all the way from Gujarat was lit in the presence of Mahant Nrityagopal Das ji Maharaj, the president of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra amid chants of 'Jai Jai Siya Ram' by the crowd on Tuesday morning.

The 108-foot long and three-and-a-half feet wide incense stick weighed 3,610 kilograms and was brought from Gujrat's Vadodra to Ayodhya to fill the Ram Mandir with divine fragrance. Its journey from Gujarat to Ayodhya became more like a procession as hundreds of people gathered along the sides of the road to see the huge incense stick that was being trasported.

A bhog of 1,000 kilograms of laddus was also sent from Shri Krishna's birthplace Mathura to Ayodhya on the morning of January 16.

Apart from these, fifty-six varities of Agra's famous prachin pethas also reached Ayodhya this morning as preparation for the ceremony is underway in full swing.

The Garbhagriha door at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir was installed today by Anuradha Timber International at the temple's premises in Ayodhya.
