New Delhi: Haryana police have been put on high alert after sighting of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey in a Faridabad hotel. As per the inputs, Vikas had stayed at a OYO room in Faridabad’s Badkhal Chowk under a false identity, but again managed to evade the cops. As per the hotel staff, Vikas had identified himself as Ankur, and had escaped the hotel before the cops arrived. The police have detained three of his aides after raiding the Faridabad hotel.

Uttar Pradesh STF and Haryana Police are on their toes to nab the notorious criminal. Police is suspecting that he may take an auto or taxi to manage his escape as he does not have a car with him as of now.

Meanwhile, in a major success, Amar Dubey, a close aide of Dubey, has been killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Hamirpur on Wednesday. Amar Dubey, the top henchman  of Vikas, was a co-accused in the Bikru Village shootout in which eight cops were killed in a botched raid.  UP Special Task Force (STF) gunned him down in coordination with the local police unit in Hamirpur. There was a reward of Rs 25,000 on him.

“Gangster Vikas Dubey aide has been killed in encounter in Hamirpur district of UP,” Special Task Force IG Amitabh Yash confirmed the news.

Amar Dubey in his bid to escape also fired at the police team, in which two personnel received injuries.

The Uttar Pradesh Police had said on Tuesday that 40 teams and the STF was hunting for dreaded gangster Vikas Dubey.

In second major development that followed Amar Dubey's killing, another close associate of Vikas, Shyamu Vajpai has been nabbed by Chaubeypur police.



Three arrested, 68 personnel shunted out:

As the Kanpur shootout has made police to spring to action three arrests were made on Tuesday, and a DIG was transferred shortly after another officer accused him of having links with an associate of the gangster.

Later all 68 police personnel at Chaubeypur police station were shunted to the reserve police lines on Tuesday with the top brass saying they suspected their integrity after last week's ambush which killed eight policemen.

Police have named 21 people in the FIR registered after the attack. The FIR also mentioned 50-60 unidentified people. The Kanpur police released the photos of 15 criminals said to be close to Dubey. They are putting up posters carrying the pictures of these alleged criminals, most of them carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 for their arrest.

The bounty on Vikas Dubey was increased to 2.50 lakh.
