Sonam shared an image and captioned it by saying, 'Women need to stand together!'. Post Kangana's infuriated remarks, Sonam said, "All I want to say is that all I have is compassion and love for you."
She also highlighted the fact that it's time for all women to come together and speak up. "Women need to stand together! irresponsible media have misquoted me or taken my quote out of context and made other women react. All I want to say is that all I have is compassion and love for you. I’m proud of where I come from and so should every other woman or man. Let’s stand together and speak up. Let’s not pull each other down with bitterness and negativity. Love is always the answer," Sonam wrote on Instagram.
What had happened?
Kangana had accused Bahl of sexual misconduct and revealed how the director made her uncomfortable even in public meetings. While Sonam lauded Kangana for speaking about the horrifying incident, she also mentioned that it's hard to believe Kangana, given she has a bone to pick up with people. "She says a lot of stuff and sometimes it's hard to take her seriously," she said.
Kangana's reaction
Infuriated by Sonam's comment, Kangana took a jibe at her and said, "Who is she to judge me?" The 'Queen' actor further went on to question Sonam's credibility as a speaker and also pulled Sonam for her celebrity status.
