Video: Women wash feet of Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on Guru Purnima
NEW DELHI: Women in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand on Sunday were seen washing the feet of chief minister Raghubar Das.
In an event held on 'Guru Mahotsav' at Jamshedpur's Brahma Lok Dham women washed feet of Das on a plate full of flower petals.
Das was the chief guest at the event.
Guru Purnima is marked on the full-moon day of the Hindu month Ashadha and is celebrated by the Hindus, Jains and the Buddhists to honour one's 'gurus' or teachers who guide us through our lives towards the path of enlightenment.
The day falls in between June-July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the citizens on the occasion of Guru Purnima.
