Corona Vaccination Registration: Those Above 18 Can Register For Inoculation From Saturday

All citizens aged above 18 will be eligible for vaccination starting May 1. Currently, only citizens above the age of 45 were allowed to take the vaccine.

Covid Vaccine Registration: People above 18 years are now eligible for vaccination from May 1 and can register for their shot from Saturday (April 24) on the Cowin platform.

Registrations for the latest round of inoculations will open in the next 48 hours on the CoWin platform.

Here's how to register on the Co-Win app.

Here's how to register for Covid-19 vaccination phase 3

1. Visit the official website of CoWIN cowin.gov.in

2. Tap on 'register/sign in yourself'.

3. Enter your 10-digit mobile number or Aadhaar number.

4. Then, you will receive an OTP on your mobile number, enter the OTP in the space provided.

5. Once you have registered, schedule your appointment at desired date and time.

After your Covid-19 vaccination is completed, you will get a Reference ID through which you can get your vaccination certificate.

Documents Required For Registeration

You must have any one of the following identity proofs:

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving license
  • Health Insurance smart card issued under by Ministry of Labour
  • Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) job card
  • Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs
  • Passport
  • Passbooks issued by bank/post office
  • Pension document
  • Service identity card issued to employees by central/ state government / Public limited companies

Process for registration through Aarogya Setu app 

  1. Head to the Aarogya Setu app > Click on CoWIN tab on the home screen
  2. Select Vaccination Registration > Enter Phone Number > Enter OTP
  3. Click on Verify > You will be directed to the Registration of Vaccination page
  4. Follow the same steps as mentioned in the ‘Process for registration through CoWIN portal' guide.

Each citizen has to take two shots of the vaccine. The CoWIN portal says that the second dose of Covaxin should be taken between 28 days to 42 days after the first dose. The second dose of Covishield should be taken between 28 days to 56 days after the first dose.
