The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended five top employees of the Public Works Department (PWD), including the department head, for alleged significant irregularities in departmental transfers, news agency ANI reported.
Due to transfer irregularities in the department, 5 employees were suspended, including Public Works Department (PWD) Head & Chief Engineer Manoj Gupta. This follows the action taken against PWD Minister Jitin Prasada's OSD Anil Kumar Pandey on July 18.

According to the official announcement, Manoj Kumar Gupta, PWD's Chief Engineer (Development), Rakesh Kumar Saxena, and Senior Staff Officer Shailendra Kumar Yada have been suspended with immediate effect.
Along with them, administrative officer Pankaj Dixit and principal assistant Sanjay Kumar Chaurasia have been suspended, and a disciplinary investigation has been launched.

It went on to say that after learning of the major anomalies in the transfer orders issued during the current transfer session in the Public Works Department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formed a high-level probe team led by Agriculture Production Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh.
According to him, based on the inquiry report provided on July 16, the Chief Minister ordered the immediate suspension of engineers by taking disciplinary action against them.

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken the aforesaid measure in response to the major anomalies in the transfer in the Public Works Department.
