UP Elections 2022: From 'Yogi Hai Upyogi' To 'Aa Rahe Hai Akhilesh', It Is The Season Of Political Songs

All the political parties want to grab the attention of the voters and thus we are listening to new songs being sung at every other political event/rally. Take a look at these songs below.

After every press conference that Akhilesh Yadav is doing these days, he announces on the mic to "Play Samajwadi Songs". With this announcement, the tunes of the new campaign song, "Aa Rahe Hai Akhilesh" (Akhilesh is coming) start playing in the background.

There are several such political songs that are doing the rounds in this election season. All the political parties want to grab the attention of the voters and thus we are listening to new songs being sung at every other political event/rally. With the election commission putting a ban on rallies due to Covid-19, political parties are releasing songs to reach out to voters.

Let us start with the songs released by the Bhartiya Janata Party. One song that is going viral is composed on the famous Sri Lankan song, 'Manike Majhe Ithe' with lyrics titles 'Yogi Hai Upyogi'. BJP's songs are mostly around the personality and cult of CM Yogi Adityanath.

Some of the other BJP songs are 'Yogi Bohot Zaroori' (Yogi Very Important), 'Yogi Jaisa Sher Koi Nahin' (No Other lion like Yogi)

The BJP has launched another song featuring Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan with lyrics "UP me sab baa" (UP has everything). This song counts the 'achievements' of the Yogi government and emphasizes that Uttar Pradesh has everything.

A spin-off of this song by Neha Singh Rathore named 'UP mein Kaa baa?' (What is there in UP?) was released on YouTube. It gained more than a million views in less than a week. Take a look at that song as well:

The above song is a satire that is talking about the problems faced by farmers, women, and others in the state.

Now let us take a look at the songs released by Samajwadi Party. The party led by Akhilesh Yadav, who has a positive momentum going in this election is on a spree of releasing new political songs.

‘Hunkara’, ‘Janata Pukarti Hai’ (people are calling) and ‘Jai Jai Samajwadi’ (Hail Samajwadi) are some of the most-talked about songs by SP. These songs are about how the party will solve people's problems if voted to power.

Ashutosh Verma - SP's national spokesperson said the songs strike a chord with the unemployed youth, farmers, and downtrodden sections.

Even the Congress party released a song titled 'Ladki Hu Lad Sakti Hu'
