After Killing Father, UP Boy Watched TV Series ‘Crime Patrol’ 100 Times To Get Cues For Destroying Evidence

In a shocking incident, a class 12 student from Uttar Pradesh murdered his father and later watched Crime Patrol 100 times to get clues in destroying evidence.

New Delhi: In a gruesome incident a 17-year-old boy in Uttar Pradesh killed his father and later watched the TV show 'Crime Patrol' 100 times to get ideas on destroying evidence. According to a report by IANS, on May 2, the class 12 student murdered his father Manoj Mishra, in a fit of rage after he scolded him. He hit him on his head with an iron rod and after he fainted, the boy proceeded to strangle him with a piece of cloth. ALSO READ| Ahead Of The SC Hearing On Air Pollution In Delhi-NCR, President Gives Green Signal To Set Up New Commission The same night, the report says that the boy with the help of his mother carried the body on his scooty to a forest area about five kilometres away and burnt it with petrol and a toilet cleaner to destroy the identity. On May 3, police found the partially burnt body but it remained unidentified for almost three weeks as no missing person report was file. The family finally, lodged a missing person complaint on May 27 after pressure from ISKCON officials who were concerned about the prolonged absence of the victim. Mathura Superintendent of Police (city) Udai Shanker Singh said that whenever police called Manoj's son for questioning, he would evade it. He also said that when the police checked his phone, the history showed that the boy watched Crime Patrol episodes at least 100 times. After several rounds of questioning, the boy finally broke down and admitted to his crime.
