UP: 45 people going for Chhath Puja injured as tourist bus meets accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway
The passengers were traveling to Bihar from Delhi to attend the festival of Chhath.
New Delhi: In a fatal accident that took place at the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Kannauj, 45 people got injured. The incident happened as a tourist bus turned turtle, while on its way to Bihar, on Friday injuring many passengers and leaving others critical. Of the 45 injured people, as many as 20 are in a serious condition.
Those who are critical have been referred to Kanpur.
The passengers were traveling to Bihar from Delhi to attend the festival of Chhath.
The accident took place in the Tirwa Kotwali area and all injured have been admitted in Tirwa medical college.
The festival of Chhath in Bihar attracts a large number of tourists every year to witness the three-day long festival. The bus which toppled at the expressway was carrying tourists for the festival.
