AAP And Congress Are Two Thieves, Coming Together As Cousins: Union Minister Anurag Thakur

Union Minister Anurag Thakur called AAP and Congress "thieves" that are "two sides of the same coin" in the context of corruption.

Lok Sabha Election 2024: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) began its political campaigns for the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024 with a special officials' meeting in the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a searing attack on the Congress and AAP parties and called them out for their alleged shortcomings, especially over claims of corruption. Thakur, who led the charge and was the star speaker, accused both parties of being “two sides of the same coin” in the case of corruption, reported news agency ANI.

“Aam Aadmi Party leaders are behind bars on the issue of corruption, and Arvind Kejriwal is presenting that corruption is not happening, everyone knows which party has promoted corruption. Arvind Kejriwal is silent on the corruption of Congress and Congress is silent on the corruption of Arvind Kejriwal. Congress, Aam Aadmi Party– two thieves are now coming together as cousins,” Thakur said, as per ANI.

The Union Minister further added, “ The Bharatiya Janata Party fights every selection with full strength and in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, various guidelines will also be given to the party office bearers of parliamentary constituencies today.  The Modi government at the Centre will set records in the upcoming elections and hoist its flag on more than 400 seats,” quoted ANI.

While countering Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks on the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Thakur stated that the Modi government has achieved in its tenure what the Congress couldn’t in their 70-year term. He also said that the BJP launched several public welfare schemes for the benefit of the general public during its governance, as per ANI’s report.

Anurag Thakur also seemed to be brimming with confidence about the BJP’s win in the upcoming elections. Expressing his optimism, he said that the BJP party will set new records and win with over 400 seats. He also stressed that the party will continue to work for the betterment of the country and fight this election with full force, reported ANI.
