Udaipur city-Khajuraho train stopped at Sitholi railway station in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on Saturday after a fire was reported in the train engine. News agency ANI shared a video of the halted train on X (formerly known as Twitter).

This is the second incident of such nature to happen on te very same day as earlier in the day, another fire broke out in the Udyan Express after it reached Bengaluru's Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station. The incident occurred two hours after the passengers of the said train deboarded it. South-Western Railway said that no casualties or injuries were reported. It also said that fire engines and experts reached the spot to douse the flames.
According to ANI, the incident took place at 7 am on Saturday and the station authorities raised an alarm after noticing the smoke coming out from the train's locomotive. South-Western Railway officials said that smoke was noticed two hours after the train's arrival.
Meanwhile, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. ANI cited the officials as saying that the fire was doused immediately after it came to notice. They added that a team of experts was assessing the situation to ascertain the exact cause.
