The special investigating team (SIT) probing the murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan's Udaipur has found the weapons with which the two accused - Riyaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad - carried out the gruesome killing, reported ABP News. The sharp edged weapons were found in the office of an iron factory named SK Engineering. The killers had also made some videos after the incident in the same building, reported ABP.
The SIT team had brought both the killers to the factory at Baparda today which was run by a person named Shoaib Khan. While the owner of the factory is a person called Mohan Lal Dangi. Two blood-stained knives were found in one of the almirahs of the factory, according to ABP News.
Three other people who used to work in Shoaib Khan's factory have been detained by the SIT. Shoaib has been running the factory for close to six years, reported ABP.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday urged people to maintain peace while assuring stringent punishment for those involved in the incident.
Taking to Twitter, CM Gehlot said, "I want to assure you that no criminal will be spared irrespective of any religion or community."
"I condemn the heinous murder of a youth in Udaipur. Strict action will be taken against the criminals involved in this incident. I appeal to everyone to maintain peace and not share the video of the act," Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot had earlier said.
The gruesome murder of Kanhiyalal was committed by Riyaz Akhtari and Ghouse Mohammad in Udaipur's Maldas area on June 28. They also posted a video on social media about the "beheading" and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi's life as well.
