New Delhi: Before the parliament's Monsoon Session concludes next week, the Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the proceedings and listen to the demands of the opposition over Pegasus spyware row and Farm laws among several others.
In a Twitter post on Sunday, the TMC MP shared a three-minute video of various opposition parties pushing addressing their demands in Parliament. "Mr Modi come listen to us," O'Brien said while posting the video.

The video features leaders from several opposition parties including Congress, Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena, TRS, DMK, CPI(M), RJD, NCP and Aam Aadmi Party. The MPs can be heard raising issues against Pegasus scandal, farmers' protest against agricultural laws, rising commodity prices and increasing rape cases.
Through this video, TMC has once again conveyed their intentions to bring all opposition parties together to oppose PM Modi at the Centre.
PM Modi has so far appeared once in the Parliament to address the opening remarks of the Monsoon Session and to ntroduce the new ministers.
The proceedings since the day one of the Parliament Monsoon Session were continuously interrupted by opposition parties which accused the Central government of being engaged in contract with Israeli company NSO to snoop into phones of several Indian jounalists, activists and politicians using 'Pegasus' spywhere. The opposition demamded discussion on these issues.
Monsoon Session of Parliament started from July 19 and will end on August 13. This time, it was run for 19 business days. Keeping in mind the ongoing Covid pandemic, the session took place in both the Houses of Parliament with all necessary protocols and arrangements to accommodate members of Parliament (MPs) on a social distancing basis. All members and media were allowed as per Covid protocol.
The Monsoon session usually starts in the third week of July and concludes ahead of 15 August. However, last year, it had started in September due to the pandemic situation.
