Three-Fourths Of Rajya Sabha Members Vaccinated, Parliament Session Expected To Start Without Hurdles

Three-fourths of Rajya Sabha members have secured themselves from Corona by taking both doses of the Covid vaccine before the session begins.

Before the onset of the monsoon session, 3/4 members of the Rajya Sabha have received both doses of the Covid vaccine. According to the data available with the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, at least 179 Rajya Sabha members have been fully vaccinated before the monsoon session of Parliament. According to reports, 77% of the 232 members in the Upper House, have taken both doses of the vaccine. At the same time, according to the official data available till June 18, 39 more members of the House have also received the first dose. On the other hand at least 403 members of the Lok Sabha, which is about three-fourths of the current strength of 540, have also received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Therefore, it is now expected that the monsoon session will begin next month in compliance with the Covid guidelines.

Covid guideline protocol compliance essential

According to the information, it will be necessary to follow the Covid guideline during the monsoon session. During this, all MPs will have to enter by wearing masks and also take care of social distancing.

30 MPs have not given information related to vaccination

A top official said that some members of Parliament have not yet been able to take their second dose due to being infected with Covid 19. While the other 30 MPs have not given any information about the vaccine, efforts are being made to contact them to know their vaccination status.
