New Delhi: In a highly shocking incident, few unidentified terrorists attacked Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jasbir Singh's house with a grenade in Rajouri, Jammu last evening, leaving a three-year-old boy killed while four others were injured.

The deceased baby identified as Veer Singh, was the nephew of BJP leader Jasbir Singh who succumbed to injuries he sustained after terrorists lobbed a grenade on the residence. As per the latest inputs, People's Anti-Fascist Front has claimed the responsibility for the attack on the BJP leader's house.

The incident happened when Jasbir Singh was sitting in the gallery with his entire family when terrorists targeted him and lobbed a grenade at his house. At least seven members of the family were injured in the grenade attack while the nephew of BJP leader died.

Soon after the attack, police and security force conducted searches in and around the town.

This is not the first time that terrorists have targeted a BJP leader. Two days ago, BJP leader Gulam Rasool Dar and his wife were killed in Anantnag. Now questions are being raised about the attack on the BJP leader in Rajouri in Jammu just before August 15. The family alleged that they had received threats but no action was taken.

With high-alert and tight security arrangements in the valley before the 15th of August, the grenade attack raises the big question on security. Amid all the security claims, the militants have not only managed to attack a BJP member but also killed an innocent baby boy.
