Hyderabad: Lal Darwaza Temple Head Priest who had contracted Covid-19 and was unable to get admitted to a hospital has received much-needed help from All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi.


The Head priest was facing difficulty in finding a hospital bed while suffering complications posed by Coronavirus infection and old age.

According to inputs, the Lal Darwaza Temple Head Priest was not getting a bed in any hospital and he called AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi for help. Owaisi immediately responded and got the priest admitted to Asra Hospital which is taken care of by the party itself.


This positive development comes as patients across the country are finding it difficult to get admitted to hospitals, receive medical oxygen and antiviral drugs as the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic has burdened the health infrastructure in several states.


India's total tally of Coronavirus cases rose to 1,59,30,965 with 3,14,835 new infections reported in a day, fresh cases crossing the dreadful 3-lakh mark. Active cases have increased to 22,91,428, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.


The death toll increased to 1,84,657 with a record 2,104 new fatalities. The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 1,34,54,880.

 

PM Narendra Modi will review the Coronavirus situation in an internal meeting tomorrow, at 9 am. He will also interact with the Chief Ministers of high burden states over the prevailing Covid situation, at 10 am, and hold a virtual meeting with leading oxygen manufacturers in the country, at 12:30 pm.
