South Korea's Foreign Minister Park Jin, who arrived in Delhi on Friday for a two-day India visit, said Oscar-winning song 'Naatu Naatu' had captivated the world and was an example of India's cultural prowess. In his meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Jin said India, which has been playing a pivotal role in the international arean, would further impact the world as G20 president.
"India has demonstrated to the world its cultural prowess with its recent Oscar wins and I must say the 'Naatu Naatu' song and dance has captivated the world," Jin said.
The South Korean minister began his speech by thanking Jaishankar for the "warm welcome" in Hindi. "Mujhe India aa kar aur aapse mil kar bhut khushi ho rahi hai," Jin said.
Underscoring the importance of the Indo-Pacific for both the nations, Jin said India and South Korea were committed to peace in the region.
"Korea and India share so much in common and we are both exemplary democracies, vibrant economies and cultural powers. We are both committed to contributing to a free, open, peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific region," ANI quoted Jin as saying.
Jaishankar said the discussions between the two leaders would take forward "our Special Strategic Partnership".
Following their talks, Jaishankar said they discussed trade and investments, defence, S&T, energy, space, semiconductors, emerging technologies and cultural exchanges.
"Also shared perspectives of our neighborhoods, our visions and policies in the Indo-Pacific and the Ukraine conflict. Agreed to cooperate closely on global and multilateral issues. Discovered that the language skills of Koreans are as good as their dancing!" Jaishankar tweeted.

The year 2023 marks fifty years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Earlier, Jin said South Korea would like to upgrade its existing successful partnership with India and focus on trade, investment and supply chain stabilisation in manufacturing sector and also critical minerals.
South Korean Minister On His Love For Bollywood
He also described himself as a fan of Bollywood movies and said RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' dance was very popular in his country. He listed 3 Idiots, Chennai Express, and RRR as his favourite Indian movies.
"You know, Naatu Naatu dance is really popular in Korea. I saw the movie myself…Rise, Roar and Revolt, which is a fantastic movie, and also the story. I think it was extraordinary story about the Indian people and history," said Jin, while speaking to ANI.
Recently, a video of the South Korean embassy in India's staff grooving to the RRR's hit track has gone viral on social media.
