She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital where she was under the treatment of Dr Pratit Samdani and his team of doctors.

Dr Samdani had on Saturday told news agency PTI that the singer was under aggressive therapy and was tolerating the procedures well.

Earlier in the day, informing about her sudden deterioration of health condition, Samdani had said she had to be put back on ventilator support.

Mangeshkar was visited upon by her sister Asha Bhosle apart from other high-profile personalities, including Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and NCP leader Supriya Sule.
