Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Punjab Police Get Transit Remand Of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

Lawrence Bishnoi's lawyer said that the detailed order by Court stated that Punjab Police will be completely responsible for his life and security and that no mishappening should take place with him

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted Punjab Police the transit remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to take him to Punjab in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. Bishnoi will now be produced by the Punjab Police before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mansa court tomorrow. Delhi's Patiala court passed the order after Punjab Police produced Bishnoi before it after formally arresting him in the case.

Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29 by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the state government curtailed his security cover. Punjab Police has called Bishnoi the mastermind behind the plot to kill Sidhu Moose Wala.

"The court has granted transit remand with conditions - Punjab Police will get his medical test done before taking him away, all safety measures will be kept in mind, he'll be handcuffed & shackled, & he'll be taken in bullet proof vehicle," said Bishnoi's lawyer, Vishal Chopra.

"Complete videography right from him being taken away to being presented before the court will be done. Court has passed a detailed order that Punjab Police will be completely responsible for his life and security and that no mishappening should take place with him," he added.

The Punjab Police will take Bishnoi to Mansa in a bulletproof car that would be escorted by a dozen cars full of cops, IANS reported. More than 50 police personnel will escort the vehicles to make sure no untoward incident takes place.

Meanwhile, two gangsters were arrested by the Mohali police with weapon who belonged to Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar. The accused have been identified as Gagi and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi both residents of Kingra village of Dabwali in Punjab's Sirsa.
