NIA Searches 50 Locations Across North India Over Cases Of Narco-Terrorism

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out searches in three states in North India in connection with a case related to narco-terrorism by alleged gangsters, some of whom were also invloved in the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, reported news agency PTI. Searches were carried out in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab and the sites included residences of Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria who were also accused in killing of Moose Wala, said the officials, quoted by the news agnecy.
However, the investigation of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was not under this action by the NIA, said a top government official, quoted by news agnecy ANI.
"Raids are going on at multiple locations in Delhi, NCR, Punjab and Haryana in a case recently registered against some terror gangs," reported ANI quoting a top government source as saying.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing a case of the alleged involvement of gangs in Punjab in smuggling drugs from Pakistan and the money later being pumped into terror-related activities.
The federal agency conducted the raids at Yamuna Nagar, Majitha Road, Muktsar, Gurdaspur, and Gurugram, the officials said.
Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case is being probed by the Punjab Police which has arrested 23 people in connection with the case.
Moosewala was killed in Mansa on May 29 when he along with his friend and cousin was travelling in a jeep to Jawahar Ke village. A day earlier, the Punjab police had pruned his security cover on a temporary basis. Goldy Brar, who is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had claimed the responsibility for the murder.
