New Delhi: Noida authority in Uttar Pradesh demolished an illegal office of BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi on Monday located in Grand Omaxe housing society, reported news agency ANI. The move comes after a video of Tyagi surfaced online where he could be seen threatening and assaulting a resident of the housing complex in Noida's Sector 93. On Sunday night, some men supporting Tyagi barged into the residential society after which seven of them were arrested and taken for interrogation, said the police. 


“Seven people who entered the Grand Omaxe Society have been arrested and are being interrogated. It was found that there was negligence from SHO Phase 2, Central Noida Sujeet Upadhyay, who has been suspended, further investigation is underway,” said Noida Police Commissioner Alok Singh. He also said that the family has been provided with security. Action will be taken against Tyagi under the Gangster Act and “all his illegal property will be identified”, Singh said further.






After the incident happened, Gautambudh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma also reacted and said that he has informed Uttar Pradesh General Secretary Awanish Awasthi about the situation and also assured police protection the victim. 


Tyagi could be seen arguing with a woman in a video that went viral which was shared by Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair. Tyagi, who is also a national executive member of the BJP Kisan Morcha, is also seen pushing the woman and abusing her as the matter comes to a boil. Other residents are then seen pulling the woman back.
