Shikhar Sammelan | Rahul Gandhi has fled away from Amethi over fear of losing elections: Piyush Goyal
Piyush Goyal was pretty confident that Bharatiya Janata Party shall win 74 seats in Uttar Pradesh and cross the 300-seat mark in the ongoing general elections. Goyal was certain that the BJP-led NDA shall romp home to power with two thirds majority in the general elections.
New Delhi: Union Railways minister Piyush Goyal was one of the eminent speakers at ABP News Shikhar Sammelan, a conclave where issues of national interest were addressed by leaders across political parties amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the conclave, Piyush Goyal was pretty confident that Bharatiya Janata Party shall win 74 seats in Uttar Pradesh and cross the 300-seat mark in the ongoing general elections. Goyal was certain that the BJP-led NDA shall romp home to power with two thirds majority in the general elections. He reiterated the fact that there is a strong Modi Tsumani all over the nation and the wave in the nation is in favour of PM Modi.
Answering a question on the opposition, Goyal said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi has fled away from Amethi to contest from Wayanad in Kerala. He added that the SP-BSP Mahagathbandan is in a state of confusion.
Goyal attacked the Congress party saying that they dint do much for the country during their 70-year rule. He hailed the efforts of PM Modi by claiming that the BJP government had build over 10 crore toilets in the country, provided free electricity to rural households and benefited lakhs of people with the Ujjwala Yogna.
Goyal lauded the government's will and intent to take a strong decision of carrying out the Surgical Strikes across the Line of Control. He targeted the Congress and opposition parties for questioning the authenticity of the surgical strikes. Taking a jibe at the Congress, Goyal said that at least the party had started speaking about strikes carried out during their rule at the Centre.
Goyal said that it was surprising that citizens of Bengal under the Mamata Banerjee regime cannot chant 'Jai Shree Ram' in their state. One who chants the 'Jai Shree Ram slogan' is sent to jail. He accused Mamata Banerjee of playing the politics of appeasement which in the longer run is dangerous for the democracy.
