New Delhi: Amid the prevailing tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pulwama terror attack last year, and the abrogation of Article 370 later that year,  actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha was spotted enjoying a 'qawwali night' at a Pakistani wedding in Lahore.

Images and videos which have surfaced on social media from Pakistani handles show Sinha attending a wedding Qawwali night in Lahore along with Pakistani celebrity Reema Khan.

The videos of the Congress leader which are going viral on the social media have received mixed responses from users of both the countries.

Famous Pakistani website allpakdramapageofficial shared a video of Sinha captioning it as: "Legendary Bollywood actor and Politician Shatrughan Sinha spotted at a wedding event in Lahore tonight Film star #ReemaKhan also there at the #bigfatwedding."

Several other event pages reported Shatrughan’s presence in Lahore. The development may land up the former Lok Sabha member in a controversy for visiting the country amid tensed political relations.

The relations between India and Pakistan had nose-dived following the Pulwama attack and the ensuing aerial conflict between the two countries. It further deteriorated after Pakistan raised baseless objections to India’s step of abrogating Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Another star Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has time and again found himself at the centre of controversy for his friendly terms with the country’s PM Imran Khan.

Popular Bollywood singer Mika Singh was banned by All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) after his performance in Pakistan. The event he performed in Pakistan was organised by former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf's close relative.
