New Delhi: In a meeting with Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday, NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede's wife Kranti Redkar and father Dnyandev Wankhede has submitted a complaint against Senior NCP Leader Nawab Malik.
While addressing the media, Kranti Redkar said, "I met governor Koshyari with my father-in-law Dnyandev Wankhede and sister-in-law Yasmeen Wankhede. We submitted a complaint about minister Nawab Malik's constant attacks on us."
She further said that they were "humble" people, however, "family reputation is at stake due to constant attacks."
While hoping for justice, Wankhede's wife said that the state governor Koshyari, while asking to observe restraint and have patience, has assured them that truth will prevail. "We got a lot of positivity after meeting him," she adds.
Following the Narcotics Control Bureau's alleged Mumbai drugs cruise case in which Bollywood star's Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested, the state minority development minister has levelled various allegations against the NCB Zonal Director Wankhede and his family.
Malik had accused NCB Zonal Director of forging his birth certificate to get a government job in the Scheduled Castes quota and concealing that he was born into a Muslim family. Malik further accused him of running an extortion racket by falsely implicating people in drug cases.
In this regard, recently Sameer Wankhede's father Dhyandev Wankhede had filed a defamation suit against Nawab Malik in the Bombay High Court. While appearing for Dhyandev Wankhade's defamation suit, Advocate Arshad Shaikh informed the HC that the defendant is everyday making some false and defamatory remarks against his client and his family thus leading to further remarks on social media which add to further defamation.
