Mumbai Police on Tuesday named gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol as an accussed in the FIR in connection with the firing outside the residence of Bolywood actor Salman Khan. This decision was taken after Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack on his Facebook handle. “Salman Khan, do not take us lightly. This is the first and last warning. After this, the firing will happen at your home," he had posted. 


Earlier in the day, the Mumbai court sent arrested ‘shooters’ in Salman Khan house firing to police custody till April 25. 


Addressing the media, Joint police commissioner of the Mumbai Crime Branch Lakhmi Gautam stated that a total of five rounds were fired by the accused.


He further said: “We have arrested two accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal from Bhuj district in Gujarat. Primarily, they have done 'recce' of the house thrice.”

The duo, Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), both residents of Bihar, went fugitives following the firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence in the Bandra area. They were apprehended late Monday night from Mata No Madh village in Gujarat's Kutch district, as per police statements.


The two accused were transported to Mumbai and presented before a magistrate court on Tuesday.


The crime branch asked for a 14-day custody of the two accused, stating that their interrogation was necessary to uncover details of the conspiracy and to identify the mastermind behind the firing incident.

The court granted police custody of the two accused for nine days, until April 25.


On Sunday around 5 am, the two individuals, riding a motorcycle, fired shots outside the residence of 58-year-old Salman Khan at the Galaxy Apartments in the Bandra area of Mumbai, before fleeing the scene.
