Ruckus at Noida hospital: ‘Ultrasound showed twins’, woman handed one baby
New Delhi: Noida's B R Ambedkar Multi Speciality Hospital faced public wrath on Monday morning, after a woman whose “ultrasound reports had shown she was pregnant with twins”, gave birth to only one child.
The agitated family members of the woman Sangeeta Devi, who belong to Chhajarsi village in Noida’s Sector 86, slammed hospital officials and claimed that multiple reports suggested that Sangeets was pregnant with twins.
Criticising the hospital and its authorities, one of the family members said "the electricity supply at the hospital was disrupted thrice when Sangeeta’s operation was underway".
The family alleges that the hospital staff kept diverting their attention by asking them to get clothes for the child, getting medicines and going to the blood bank. Also, they were handed only one child after they returned.
Coming out in their defence, the hospital authorities are claiming that the ultra-sound reports were incorrect.
