New Delhi: Amid political turmoil over the issue of Ram Mandir, a big statement has come from Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh. RSS’ General Secretary Bhaiyaji Joshi has now declared a fresh date for building Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He said that a Ram Temple will be built in 2025.


He said that when construction of Ram Mandir begins in the country, the country would start developing rapidly. He added saying the growth rate in the country will increase at the same pace as it did after construction of Somnath Temple in 1952.

RSS’ fresh statement is being seen as a jibe at Modi government; as the PM Modi had said that construction of Ram Temple can be initiated only after the court hearing I the case ends. RSS has been consistently pressing on bringing in ordinance on Ram Temple issue. Even RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has urged the government to bring ordinance.

What happened in SC on Ayodhya case?

The Supreme Court hearing on Ayodhya case was once again deferred on January 10. During the hearing, one of the judges of the 5-judge bench, Justice UU Lalit recused himself from hearing the case after lawyer representing the Muslim side questioned on him hearing the case. After this Chief Justice declared formation of a new bench and decided that January 29 will be the next day for hearing the case.
