New Delhi: Three persons have been held after an FIR was lodged for assaulting an Indian Air Force official in the national capital.

The incident reportedly took place on April 20th near Batra hospital in Tughlaqabad area.

In the video, a man in the IAF uniform whose is been identified by Sujay Kumar Sikandar is seen being assaulted and abused by a couple of men. The defence personnel reportedly was on a motorbike and the case appears to be one of road rage. The video shows the IAF personnel’s shirt being torn during the attack as he tried to lift the bike.


The shocking video which went viral was shared by a Twitter handle by the name of 'Indian Army Fans'.

"A shameful sight on the streets of Delhi. A Warrant Officer of the Indian Air Force is seen as beaten up by some people on the road (sic)," read the tweet.

In the FIR, Sujay mentioned that there was a minor brushing between his motorcyle and a Maruti Suzuki Swift car. After that the car overtook and stopped him and the pillion rider on his motorcycle few meters ahead on MB Road near Batra Hosptial.  Two persons came out of the car & started beating him and his colleague. In the meantime one Santro car also arrived at the spot and occupants of the car also started roughing them up.

The personnel further said in his statement that the accused dragged him and robbed his I- Card, Registration certificate of his motorcyle.

The names of the accused are Nitin Gupta, Neeraj and Isa.

Nitin works is a supplier of Amul milk in Mehrauli. Isa, a resident of Sangam Vihar, works as a store keeper at a hotel in Mehrauli while Neeraj works as bouncer at RPM club in Vasant Vihar.
