Indore News: Lata Mangeshkar, the famous singer also known as ‘Swar Kokila’, has passed away. Though everyone was a fan of her melodious voice, there are also some tales on which contradictory conditions prevailed. Finally, Indore-born Lata Mangeshkar’s identity has been collected in the form of a book by a person from her birthplace.

The Nightingale’s Book Is Carved With Her Songs

What is being talked about is the Lata Mangeshkar Museum located in Pigdamber in Indore, which was started by Suman Chaurasia of Indore. People from the film industry and other fields often have the question of how many songs Lata Didi has sung in other languages, including Hindi.

Suman Chaurasia, who has been a huge fan of the ‘Queen of Melody’, has done extensive research on her and published a book called ‘Lata Samagra’. The book compiles songs sung by Lata Didi in 26 languages until 2014. According to this book, she has sung around 6,500 songs.

The Guinness Book Record?

There has been a debate on whether Lata Mangeshkar’s name was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1974, and was dropped later.

Suman Chaurasia’s book reveals that Lata Didi never told the authorities of Guinness Book to include her name there. So there is no question of a controversy there.

Chaurasia said that she started doing her research in 2003, so the book contains every song ever sung by Lata Didi. The book also maintains a record of every film that Lata Didi sung for.

She added that Lata Didi herself appreciated her many times, and even wrote a letter to her expressing her happiness about the museum. Expressing her condolences over Lata Mangeshkar’s death, Suman Chaurasia said that ‘Saraswati’ of India has gone, but she will always remain in our memories.
