Indian woman Anju, who legally travelled to a remote village in Pakistan's Upper Dir district, got married to Nasrullah of Deer Bala. The wedding took place at the District Court of Dir Upper on Tuesday. Anju, a 34-year-old woman born in Kailor village, Uttar Pradesh, and formerly residing in Alwar district, Rajasthan, converted to Islam and adopted the Islamic name Fatima.

Nasrullah and Anju first connected as friends on Facebook back in 2019.

According to Upper Dir District Police Officer (DPO) Mushtaq Khan, Anju came to Pakistan from India for the sake of love and has been "living happily" in her new home. She holds a one-month visa and is scheduled to return to India on August 21, as confirmed by a senior Pakistani police official.

Anju had travelled to Pakistan's tribal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, specifically the Upper Dir area, on a legitimate Pakistani visa to meet Nasrullah. The Ministry of Interior provided an official letter to Pakistan's High Commission in New Delhi, notifying them that Anju had been granted a 30-day visa solely for her visit to Upper Dir.

Anju's case is similar to that of Seema Ghulam Haider. Seema, a Pakistani mother of four, snuck into India to live with Sachin Meena, a Hindu guy she met while playing PUBG. According to Uttar Pradesh Police, Seema, 30, and Sachin, 22, live in the Rabupura neighbourhood of Greater Noida, near Delhi, where he owns a supply shop.

Seema was detained on July 4 for unlawfully entering India without a visa via Nepal with her four children.
