After being denied free access to a water park in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, a group of people vandalised a part of the facility on Thursday. The accused claimed to be residents of the area and demanded entry without any charge, according to The Times Of India. However, the park authority refused, and soon a scuffle broke out, according to PTI.
The situation escalated after the accused called some locals of the area to the park. In a video shared by PTI, an excavator machine was used to vandalise the water park, including the boundary of a swimming pool.
The chaos sparked panic among the visitors, resulting in five to six people getting injured, a police officer told the news agency.
The official said that a case has been registered on the matter and the authorities are currently looking for the accused parties involved in the vandalism.
Chittorgarh Records The Highest Temperature
On Thursday, Chittorgarh recorded a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius making it the hottest place in the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
This was followed by a high of 43.3 degrees Celsius in Pilani, 43.2 degrees Celsius in Banasthali (Tonk), 43.1 degrees Celsius in Anta (Baran), 43 degrees Celsius in Karauli, 42.8 degrees Celsius in Dholpur, 42.6 degrees Celsius in Kota, 42.5 degrees Celsius in Churu, 42.4 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 42 degrees Celsius in Bhilwara and 41.6 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, according PTI quoted the IMD.
However, relief is not that far away for the people of Rajasthan, as a fresh western disturbance is likely to bring light to moderate rains in some parts of the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions from June 7 to 9. Western Rajasthan is also likely to see a hailstorm on Friday. There is likely going to be a significant change in the maximum temperature is unlikely in the next four to five days.
