Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is holding a cabinet meeting on Saturday after three state ministers resigned from their posts.

The announcement about the same was made by senior Congress leader Ajay Maken.

The three ministers who have resigned are Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra, Health Minister Raghu Sharma, and Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary.

The trio is believed to have lost their positions owing to the ongoing political tussle between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. The political atmosphere in Rajasthan intensified when Rajasthan Congress in-charge Ajay Maken reached Jaipur last evening. Maken announced that these three ministers from the Gehlot government have tendered resignations from their respective ministerial positions but would be a part of the organisation.

For the past several months, there have been reports of tensions brewing between Sachin Pilot's loyalists and CM Ashok Gehlot's faction in the Rajasthan Congress. Sachin Pilot's faction is demanding more representation for his loyalists in Rajasthan Government as well as in Rajasthan Congress. Speculations of a cabinet re-shuffle had for long been on the cards. After the resignations of these three ministers, the path for cabinet positions for a total of 12 new ministers in the Gehlot cabinet has been cleared, so it is believed that Gehlot may announce a cabinet expansion soon.
