'PM Modi Running Business Of Thuggery For 10 Years': Rahul Gandhi Seeks Account Of Previous 'Poll Guarantees'

Rahul Gandhi took a swipe at PM Modi and said that he has been roaming around in the country with a bioscope of false dreams for the last 10 years and doing a business of thuggery.

Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, saying that before giving 'new guarantees', he should give an account of the 'old guarantees'. The Wayanad MP took a pot shot at the Prime Minister and said that he has been roaming around in the country with a bioscope of false dreams for the last 10 years and doing a business of thuggery.

This comes as the Congress' 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is set to resume on Thursday with a public meeting in Bihar's Aurangabad district, about 150 km from the state capital.

In a post on X, the Congress leader said, "Modi ji, before 'new guarantees', give the account of 'old guarantees'. Guarantee of 2 crore jobs every year – False, Guarantee of doubling farmer's income - False, Guarantee to bring back black money – False, Guarantee to reduce inflation – False, Guarantee of Rs 15 lakh in every account ₹ – False, Guarantee of women's safety and dignity - False, Guarantee of making 100 smart cities – False, Guarantee to strengthen the rupee – False, Guaranteed to show China a red eye – Lie, Guarantee that I will neither eat nor allow anyone to eat – False".

"The Prime Minister, who has been roaming around with a bioscope of false dreams for the last 10 years, is running a business of thuggery in the country," he further stated.

Speaking on the Yatra, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, "Today is the 35th day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. We are in Rohtas. Today a mega rally will be held in Aurangabad. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge & Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address the public meeting."

Bharat Jodo Yatra To Resume With Rally In Bihar

According to senior Congress leader and MLC Prem Chandra Mishra, party president Mallikarjun Kharge is also likely to address the rally. "Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are likely to reach Gaya by flight and take a helicopter for Aurangabad. Thereafter, Gandhi will resume the Yatra", Mishra told PTI over phone.

Notably, the Wayanad MP was last seen in Bihar a fortnight ago when his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra had covered four districts of the Seemanchal region. According to Mishra, after the rally, Rahul Gandhi is likely to interact with farmers in Tekari Vidhan Sabha area, which falls in Gaya district but is a part of the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, as reported by PTI.

"Gandhi will spend the night at Sasaram. On Friday he will travel to Kaimur district from where we will see him off into the adjoining state of Uttar Pradesh", said Mishra.
