Earlier in May, Rahul Gandhi met and interacted with truck drivers near Chandigarh’s Ambala. In a viral video, tweeted by the Congress Party, Gandhi was seen sitting inside a truck, travelling with one of the drivers. The visual showed him engaged in conversations with fellow truck drivers donning his signature white T-shirt. Rahul Gandhi travelled to Chandigarh from Delhi with the drivers to know their problems and understand the challenges they face in their lives. Posting pictures of Gandhi sitting among truck drivers, Congress wrote, “Your Rahul Gandhi in your midst.”
Gandhi was on his way to Shimla to spend some time with his mother Sonia Gandhi and on the way he decided to listen to the problems of truck drivers, according to PTI. Meanwhile, in the same month, Gandhi also interacted with college students and women at a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus stop, when he was campaigning for the Karnataka Assembly Elections.
During that time, he also spoke to the women passengers inside one of the BMTC buses. As part of the Congress’ outreach to gig workers, party leader Rahul Gandhi also interacted with them and also rode pillion on a delivery boy’s scooter in Bengaluru on Sunday.
In a video posted by news agency ANI, Rahul Gandhi could be seen hopping on to the scooter of a delivery boy, wearing a blue helmet.
