Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha on Tuesday said that he has not been named as accused, suspect, or witness in the Delhi liquor policy case by the Enforcement Directorate. "The news is false and fabricated. I am neither named as accused nor as suspect, or witness in any ED complaint. It's propaganda to harm my reputation and credibility," Raghav Chadha said.

Earlier, news agency ANI reported that Chadha had only been mentioned in a supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case. The report specifically said that Chadha was not named as an accused. "...at Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s residence, there was a meeting of Raghav Chadha, ACS Finance of Punjab Govt, Excise Commissioner, Varun Roojam, FCT and officers from Punjab Excise where Vijay Nair was also present," the ED's statement was quoted by ANI.

Raghav Chadha's name was mentioned by Manish Sisodia's former secretary C Arvind in his statements. Along with Chadha, the ED has also mentioned the names of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in its charge sheet.

However, some media reports allegedly mentioned that Raghav Chadha had been named as an accused. Soon after these reports started circulating, the AAP leader warned of legal action unless the reports are taken down and a clarification is issued. Chadha, however, acknowledged that his name appeared to have been mentioned as an attendee of a meeting. "...though the basis of such an allegation is not clear," he stated.
